This week I consumed 7 manga, 17 anime, 2 TV shows, 9 articles, and 6 podcasts.

6 April

I've been meaning to read the manga of Liar Game for a while but never got around to it. The anime looks decent and I like the cerebral battles in this medium, it is a rare and dying breed unfortunately. It's also tough to pull off. We'll see how this series pans out.

I read the manga of this series so I was waiting for the anime. They seem to have done a great job with it although it's quite early to judge. Highly recommend watching this series.

TV/ The Boys: Fifteen Inches of Sheer Dynamite - S05E1-2 (6/10)

MASSIVE SPOILERS/ Lackluster writing and plotholes. Kimiko speaking was quite awkward, I would at least expect her to speak a little difficult. Homelander going after A-Train while a whole bunch of people he has problems with is absurd. Even Homelander isn't that dumb. Starlight has absolutely ruined herself with plastic surgery which isn't anything new but it's still highly disturbing. Butcher was supposed to die? He's still kicking, another thing I don't understand at all. Soldier Boy coming back and not dying from the virus was so obvious. They literally waited for 3 seconds and confirmed he's dead. The literal invincible man wouldn't die in half a second. At least the show's ending this season and they're not dragging the corpse of it through the streets no longer.

This is a brilliant article. Gonzo journalism mixed with grounded economical evaluation at such a critical time.

Podcast/ Michael Nielsen – Why aliens will have a different tech stack than us (8/10)

This was a great listen. I had to put a lot of effort to focus while listening because it is dense and complicated. Well worth a listen. Another great guest from Dwarkesh.

This was enlightening but a hard watch for me. It's not something that comes naturally to me so I struggled to listen but it was worth it.

I have been slowly watching Kingdom season 4 and I absolutely love this series. The character progression and dialogue are one of the best. Everything is coming together for a united Middle Kingdom. Can't wait to finish the anime and binge the manga.

Superb art, greatest of this season.

Podcast/ OpenClaw: The Viral AI Agent that Broke the Internet - Peter Steinberger | Lex Fridman Podcast #491 (7/10)

I really enjoyed Peter's perspective and journey through the OpenClaw craziness that has happened over the past months. I haven't tinkered with OpenClaw myself and instead played around with Hermes agent from Nous Research but it's still enjoyable to learn about Peter's whole story.
